For more than ten years, we have had all Mascolori shoes made in Portugal, including in and around São João da Madeira, a region with deep shoemaking roots.

Family businesses and shoemaking craft

We work with Portuguese family businesses where knowledge is passed down through generations. Our shoes can be outspoken, but they also need to be technically sound and well made.

Design meets craft

The designs start in Rotterdam. In Portugal, fit, construction, soles and materials are developed, tested and refined together with the manufacturer.

Small runs, plenty of character

Mascolori likes prints, unexpected materials and limited runs. The Portuguese factories we work with are well suited to that, leaving room for experimentation and craftsmanship.
